Notice how the waters of a river meander.
Her waters gently flow over and around branches, stones, and other natural debris.
Sometimes her movement is gentle and soothing.
Other times quite rapid and intense.
No matter the quality of movement, she always eventually finds her way to great mother ocean.
Along the way some of her waters evaporate to nourish the sky, some will nourish the soil beneath and some will commune with the ocean.
More majestic natural cycles of this amazing planet.
Water is the lifeblood of our planet and our bodies.
The flow of water throughout our own bodies serves as a metaphor for how Life itself flows through us and expresses as us.
Are you allowing the natural flow of life right now?
Or are you fighting or blocking its flow?
Have you noticed the flow? Is it more gentle and slow, or intense and raging?
Which ever it is, are you honouring it with awareness and floeing with it...or against it?
Paying closer attention can help you navigate the waters, or at least get a sense of what is to come as you flow along.
It will change along the way.
Either way you are moving forward, and just like the river will end up where your destined ocean is.
Any resistance you hold right now is hampering your ability to make a decision.
Surrender to the flow.
Watch for the signs along the riverbank and the river itself will give you clues about what is best for your highest good.
It is essential.
Surrender. Breathe. Relax. Pay Attention.

We practice ceremony and ritual every day of our lives.
So much of this is unconscious, which leads me to question if we can truly call it ceremony and ritual?
There’s an inherent sacredness and intention that comes to light when we become aware and conscious of the ritual in our lives. Without awareness, we are caught between two worlds: the world of patterns (unconscious and conscious) and the world of sacred ritual (awakened and intentional).
You are ready!
You know enough!
You can do it!
Time for action is NOW!
You have what it takes, and have what you need to fulfill your life dreams and purpose!
Let go of perfectionism and know you will do, and be, just fine!
There is no need to wait for "X", to "be ready" for the next step.
Break your bigger desires into smaller steps and get going, without delay.
You are a valuable and beloved person.
Your dreams, goals and desires are important.
Show yourself you take them seriously.
Show yourself YOU believe in YOU!
Apathy and procrastination eat away at our self confidence, until our doubt grows so big we believe can't get out from under its weight.
Step out of your comfort zone and bolster your courage!
Take a step. Any step, in the direction of your desired outcome. Then...take another!
Yes, there may be more you need to know down the line but you will sort that out then.
Don't let all the "what ifs" prevent you from getting started, or slow your momentum.
Whether it's something related to a relationship, your home life, your career, your property, your choices of where to volunteer or how to be more connected to the greater community.....just do it!
You are supported, in more ways than you think AND you are stronger than you think!
You have so much to.offer this world, by your sheer presence, let alone your ideas, life experiences and skills. When you follow your heart dreams, we all benefit!!
Tap into the joy and excitement of "going for it "!! Even if the complete fruition takes time to unfold....just get going dear ones!
YOU CAN DO IT!

On this 9-9-9 and September full moon energy building, there is much completion at hand that will bring forth the gestating momentum of creation.
It is a time to allow the mind to relax, the body to be at ease and to allow the flow of what's unfolding from within you to have space.
Your Brilliance. Your Light. Your Being.
You can Create what you desire.
Make space for what visions are already forming, so they may take better form in your sight.
Lay still. Sit quietly. Meditate. Nature.
Allow enticing visions to be born by your inner seer. There is a passionate creative flow of visions waiting to invigorate you.
Choose to rest your body and mind, so that there is space for pure moments for dreaming, clarity and direction, thus nurturing the momentum already in flow.
Here in Nova Scotia, thousands are still without electricity following Hurtican Dorian. A gift of darkness, quiet, and space to rest...if you choose to receive it?
If you are enjoying the benefits of "regular" daily life and all its distractions, how will you create space for your own rest?
How will you allow what's already within you to be shaped into a vision?
How will you create moments, hours, a day of quiet and stillness?
It is a time of completion over the next 9 days, following the opening of the Portal of 9-9-2019....and with completion comes new beginning!!
Blessings of completion and birthing to you all!

The seven wheels of life
The chakras are often called the seven wheels of life - they’re the energy processing centres for our overall energy body, or our life force. Like little vortexes, they bring in energy to be assimilated and send out energy through our different systems. The seven primary energy chakras spin aligned along the spinal column, from the root of the spine all the way up to the crown of the head.
The chakras and the sensing body
Each chakra is connected with a specific part of the body, specific organs, color, vibration, and tone of sound. When we experiment with sound healing, whether it's using singing bowls, or tuning forks, we’re working with the vibrational quality of the chakras.
The physiological presence of the chakras is often felt or sensed rather than seen. There are those with heightened psychic abilities who can see chakras and the energy body through colours and movement. But, the average person is likely to feel and experience their chakras as they would feel a nervous system response.
Our nervous system is intricately connected to the energy body, and the primary chakras are connected to the nerve plexus that comes out from the spinal column. The physiological responses we have - which in regular standard medical understanding would be a nervous system response to the breath, the heart rate, perspiration, changes in digestion, changes in vision, experiences of respiration, things like that - are also very connected to the the energetic patterning of the chakras.
The chakras and the psyche
There are also mental, emotional, or psychological aspects or qualities associated with each of the chakras. For example, the root chakra is connected to our psycho-emotional sense of safety, survival, belonging, a sense of groundedness or centredness in our being, but also our physiological sense of vitality and energy level.
When our root chakra is regularly out of balance, one of the primary psycho-emotional experiences we have is fear. It may be illogical and may not even be conscious, but we are in a constant state of subtle fear.
This can be linked to a deeper unconscious experience of a fear of not having what we need to survive. Our basic primal aspects of survival being triggered in our psyche. It's also very connected to our immediate family, our experience of financial security, our home life, our house itself, the land we live on and connected as well to our Ancestors.
Chakradance®TM and Jungian psychology
Chakradance®TM is a beautiful way to become aware of emotional and psychological patterning and tendences in our lives that shape and are shaped by our life experiences and belief systems. Chakradance®TM is based in part on Jungian psychology. The aim of Jungian psychology is to form an ongoing relationship with the conscious and unconscious mind to gain experience, help us find wholeness and reach our fullest potential.
What are we holding in the psyche?
What are we responding to in our conscious, everyday life that actually has its root in the unconscious state; in our dream state; or in our childhood experiences that we weren't able to process?
Without a level of awareness, these experiences stay within our systems and remain dormant until they are activated by triggers. In this way, our past experiences feed into some of the patterns we have now.
Together we can hold space for self love
When we bring awareness to what we're holding in the psyche with conscious intention, it awakens us! It grows our awareness and learning, and brings what was in the unconscious state to the conscious state.
This isn't always an easy path. Frequently we are dealing with states of woundedness.
This is where self love and self compassion come in. And also our need to connect with others who are walking a similar path (of course not an identical path because we all have our own personal life journey).
Together we can hold space with the intention of knowing that the common goal is to love ourselves more; to feel more whole; to be able to live life at its fullest expression through all of the experiences available to us, including joy, peace, celebration, and passion as much as the pain we've experienced.
And hopefully transition and shift some of that energy that's been trapped or blocked and bring more energy in to shift it into a greater balance with those other experiences we may have been missing out on.
Working with Jungian archetypes
In Chakradance®TM we briefly explore Jungian archetypes, which can serve as a mirror for us as we explore our inner emotional world. Archetypes are universal symbols or mythic characters - sort of personifications of characteristics or personal qualities that we identify with or are perhaps striving towards.
“The psychologist, Carl Gustav Jung, used the concept of archetype in his theory of the human psyche. He believed that universal, mythic characters—archetypes—reside within the collective unconscious of people the world over. Archetypes represent fundamental human motifs of our experience as we evolved; consequentially, they evoke deep emotions.” [from soulcraft]
Archetypes are often associated with ancient myths and legends, historical or mythical figures. They can also be associated with roles or identities. For example, do you identify with being the leader in your family? Or the peacemaker in your family? Are you the shit disturber in your family? Or are you the counselor in the family?
Each archetype comes with its own set of values, meanings, personality traits, and emotional qualities and expectations of oneself and how we relate to others. Most people have several archetypes at play, with one or two perhaps more dominant.
Through Chakradance®TM we invite people to explore these themes, because they can be useful tools and shared symbols - a way to connect our personal consciousness with the universal consciousness. When we tune into our intuitive body and our sensing body more, we become more aware, more conscious of how these symbols play into our own lives.
We may ask ourselves questions like:
What are the deeper qualities of that archetype?
What is that telling me about me?
What belief have I actually nurtured about myself?
What experiences have I had in my life that have perpetuated and nurtured this tendency to show up this way, like this archetype?
Then we can check in and say, well, do I like this? Do I not like this? Does this feel good to me? Is it helpful, or destructive? Is it something I've clung to as a coping strategy? Is it something that's helped me feel safe, but it's actually draining? How do I start to make shifts with that?
It's an exploration. We explore dreamscapes - what is the symbolism and metaphor being shown to us here? We explore the wisdom and understanding of the chakra system. We explore the energy body and how these relate to our current experiences in life as well - conscious and unconscious.
Chakradance®TM A journey of self-discovery
Chakradance®TM offers and a very somatic based embodied practice of movement and art to get out of the left brain and more into the right brain - and archetypal Jungian psychology is connected more to that right brain exploration.
Chakradance®TM is a journey and exploration of how our body is holding and experiencing energy, how our psyche is influenced by that, and how our psychology influences our systems and the patterns.
I choose to lead Chakradance®TM as a nine month journey. Focusing each month on a specific chakra, invites us to show up in our busy lives with devotion to our own soul and healing process. A place to put our attention, to create space and time to read about each chakra, explore the various activities suggested in the handouts, and reflect on what comes up.
This, of course, is the self responsibility of each participant and not an expectation of the Chakradance®TM Journey, it is more of an invitation. There is direct awakening and healing through the Chakradance®TM experience itself, and showing up for that may be all one needs.
It is up to us to commit to devoting time to our self discovery, our self exploration, observation, and awareness.
This is a wonderful opportunity to explore the chakra system together.
A nine month rebirthing process
We begin at the root, which got its primary or initial programming at the time of our conception and in utero, of our mother - our gestational experiences.
We travel up the energy system to the crown chakra, which also had early imprinting, but is connected to our soul or spirit level, and continues to expand its expression through our whole lifespan. A lot of this resides outside of our everyday human understanding of our life, as we journey from being a soul, taking human life form, and developing throughout our lifespan.
This nine month journey is much like a birthing process, as we explore a trajectory of seeing things with fresh eyes or birthing anew. Just as we move from birth to youth to adulthood and into our wisdom (Crone or Sage years) - we draw on our experience to reflect and help us make sense of our journey.
The psychology of the chakras can be explored in many ways. Chakradance®TM is one beautiful way to explore it is an embodiment practice that is more tactile and somatic. In a culture and time when we are too much in our heads, or left brains, we need to allow space for that which we may not understand or have the language for but desperately wants to be expressed.
Chakradance®TM is a space where we can be allowed and free to express our unconscious states through movement, music, and art and give ourselves the experience of expanding our consciousness. Live in a more whole state that includes regular soul expression and playful exploration!
