Yet, there are times we still need to stoke the inner fire ~ to burn away toxins in our systems & to strengthen our will towards action.
Yoga invites us to explore how we can bring balance to our systems ~ to get to know ourselves through an increased awareness of our patterns in the body, our breath, our thoughts and beliefs.
As we do so, we notice where our thoughts, choices, and experiences gravitate, or perhaps where they veer away!
These noticing moments are great opportunity to pause, and with compassionate eyes look closer to what we truly want more of in our lives...or less of...
Truth be told, as cliche as it may sound, we are the directors of our lives and if we want things to be different ~ we must make it so. We want others to acknowledge and respect us and our life choices. We must first do this ourselves and honor our own individuality. Being our authentic selves in a world riddled with criticism, judgement, and externalized power can feel overwhelming at times ~ especially for those who may have had earlier life experiences which sent mis-aligned messages and consequently dis-empowered or dis-abled their sense of will. Shame, guilt and fear can dampen the inner fire out!
Time to re-strengthen your will...reclaim your power?
Please note ~ Have a yoga mat ready, folded towel or blanket for extra support under knees if needed, and be mindful of wrists...pausing the video and taking breaks to release wrists as needed.
Manipura Chakra ~ The city of Jewels dwelling in your core ~ The third energy center of the subtle energetic body, is where we can re-ignite the spark to full flame.
Fueling our Agni ~ our internal fire that helps remove toxins/barriers and moves us in to action in our lives.
The Samana (mid to low belly) region of the Panca Vayus ~ the five winds of the subtle energetic body will want your attention!!
Manipura reminds us of our Divine Right to Act & our Divine Right to Individuality!
Closely linked to our metabolism, digestive system (stomach, gall bladder, pancreas, liver), adrenals, lower ribs and mid-back.
The energetic purpose to propel the systems towards purification and transformation....action.
To reclaim our momentum, discipline and move towards mastery ~ of ourselves !
T.K. Krishnamacharya stated "We are what we don't excrete" ~ Not only physically in our systems and tissues, but also what we hold emotionally in our bodies and psyche. These too need purification and release, in order to transform the held energy in to action.
Following a regular short Power Center practice can illuminate our desired change, build will, strengthen metabolism and bring harmony to the digestive system.....as well as strengthen the abdominals & the muscles of the mid to low back....to help carry you forward, head held high towards the life you are creating.
Of course, longer more intensive Power Center practices can be of benefit....that said, during the Vata season and in a strongly Vata culture ~ busy busy busy.....fitting in a longer stronger class can sometimes be a practical nightmare and be counter-productive increasing the sense of "getting 'er done", amping up an already tight and frazzled body.
I am offering you a short 9 minute practice to bring back the illustrious beauty and strength of the Sun to gently stoke your inner fire!
Enjoying the practice ?!
If so, please consider an energetic exchange by donating to Team Canada Healing Hands Belize project.
I am volunteering for a second time this year and still fundraising for the trip. Our team departs October 23rd and I am over the halfway mark ~ yay!! Still $600 to raise ~ so any & all donations are most welcome. If it is possible for you, please place my name in the message box on the donation page.
Please enjoy the practice regardless!! I appreciate that not all folks are in an easy position to donate at this time.
