A few years ago, as I was mowing the grass of my property, which is steep and large enough, I became inspired! Inspired to some how shorten my 3 hours of mowing!!! Out of "nowhere", the inspiration to create a space for walking meditation landed!
I became inspired to mow a spiral labrynth at the top of my land.
A sacred spiral for walking meditation, for self inquiry, for soothing the sometimes overactive mind, to create pause and to connect more intentionally with my land.
I walk the spiral as a journey inward to my heart, to Spirit speaking through my core.
Sometimes, I simply walk and allow my senses to drink in the moments of each step. One. Step. At. A. Time.
Other times, I begin with posing a question, and then take my first step inwards.
At the center of the spiral I stand and allow whatever guidance is flowing through me, or to me, to have space to be expressed.
Often, I take gratitude offerings of a flower, crystal, or berry, to leave at the center. The times I do not, I offer my hands to the earth in gratitude.
There is a lot of spiral energy present with this July New Moon, Solar Eclipse and phase of the current celestial dance.
We are all part of the Universal Spiral of life.
If you are experiencing a greater time of reflection, and/or change in your life it can be helpful to pause and spiral inward to your heart to feel & listen
And, if you have a lot of extra lawn to tend to...maybe you want to mow a spiral into your grass as well??!!
Create a sacred physical space to share among your family and friends.
My children love to take turns mowing it. I offer it to my clients and visiting family and friends as a sacred pause in their lives to spiral inward and spend a few moments mindfully present in their hearts and life journey.
